Our Weed Control Schedule
Ongoing weed management is essential for staying on top of weeds throughout the growing season, so we've structured our treatment schedule accordingly. This service consists of 4 visits from early spring until late fall, during which we apply pre- and post-emergent weed control treatments. However, it also includes routine fertilization to supply your commercial turf with essential nutrients that promote healthy growth. Here is what our weed control schedule looks like:
- Early Spring: During our first visit of the year, we will apply pre-emergent crabgrass control to prevent crabgrass from sprouting. Any existing weeds will be treated with post-emergents to eliminate them. We'll also apply fertilizer to help your grass recover from winter stress and jumpstart new growth.
- Late Spring/Early Summer: We will administer another round of pre- and post-emergent weed control to continue fortifying your lawn against problematic weeds. Additionally, we'll fertilize it again to promote continued growth.
- Late Summer/Early Fall: This visit includes a post-emergent application to target broadleaf weeds, along with spot treatments of grassy ones. A well-balanced fertilizer will also be provided to start your lawn's recovery from the summer.
- Late Fall: Our fourth visit involves applying a final post-emergent weed control treatment for broadleaf and grassy weeds so your turf enters winter weed-free. We'll also provide one last round of well-balanced, slow-release fertilizer to gear it up for dormancy and help it bounce back quicker in the spring.
